Use the Application Settings dialog box to:

To open the Application Settings dialog box:

  1. From the Edit menu, select Application Settings.

 

 

Confirmation and Warning dialog selections

Click the desired checkboxes in the Application Settings window to turn confirmation and warning dialog boxes on or off.

Note:  Global Configurator has an auto-save feature that automatically saves the GC project, depending on the specified timer.  The auto-save timer may be changed or disabled using the Application Settings option of the Edit menu.  

To enable the autosave timer:

      1. From the Edit menu, select Application Settings.

      2. Select the checkbox labeled Enable Project AutoSave timer (1 - 120 minutes).

      3. Select the desired time for Global Configurator to automatically save your GC project.  This time can be from 1 to 120 minutes.

      4. Click OK.

drop-down list to change the look and feel of the GlobalViewer interface.

The drop-down list options are:

Steel Gauges

Wood Finish

Set Proxy Server

Some networks are protected by a proxy server whose function is to:

  • Protect the network from intrusion

  • Filter downloaded Internet content

  • Cache web site

If the network on which you are installing Global Configurator has a proxy server, you can click the Set Proxy Server button in the Applications Settings window to launch the Proxy Server Specification dialog box (see below).

Proxy Server Specification

The proxy server options are:

  • None (Default) Use when no proxy server exists on the network.

  • Use the Following Proxy Server Enter the host name or
    IP address of the proxy server on your network.

  • Use the Proxy Server Specified in Internet Explorer® Select if your Internet Explorer application has been configured with a proxy server specification.
