Creating a Display Shutdown Schedule

Global Configurator's scheduling feature enables you to schedule specific actions to occur for a selected device.  As an example, scheduling is useful to set all network projectors to power off at the end of the day to prevent idle lamp usage.

Note:  The display port of a System 5 IP is shown as an example.  However, the scheduling function is available for use with many other IP Link® and A/V devices.

To create a display (projector) shutdown schedule:

  1. Select a Display Port in the IP Link Tree window.

  1. Click the Schedule tab.

  2. Click the Add Schedule button.

The Scheduled Actions Wizard dialog box opens (see below).

  1. Enter a unique name in the Scheduled Action Name field.

  2. Set the desired schedule times.

  3. Click Next.

  1. Select the desired device.

  2. In the Action Commands section, select Power Control - Off.

  3. Click Apply Action.

  4. Click Done.

  5. Repeat this procedure for all devices that you would like to power off at specific times.
