Import/Export Options

The Import Project Config and Export Project Config options provide the capability to import a GC configuration file from an existing project to the current project, or export the current GC configuration file to a new location.

Import Project Config

Select Import Project Config to import a configuration file from another Global Configurator project.

1. From the File menu, select Import Project Config.

The Import Project Configuration dialog box opens (shown below).

Source Info options include:

• IP Link® Device – Import an existing GC configuration file from a device on the A/V network.

• Disk – Import an existing GC configuration file from a file location on disk.

Device Selection Options include:

• Select All – Include all devices in the imported configuration file.

• Choose Individual – Choose which devices to include from the imported configuration file.

Configuration Options include:

• Create New Configuration – Create a new file based on the imported configuration file.

• Merge Into Current Configuration – Merge an imported configuration file with the current configuration file.  

Export Project Config

Use this option to export the current GC configuration file to a different location.

1. From the File menu, select Export Project Config.

The Export Project As... dialog box opens.

2. Enter a unique project filename.

3. Enter a location path or browse () to the desired new location.

4. Click OK.
