Rebuild Driver List

Device drivers exist in two places: on the Extron Web site,  and on the local PC (after they have been downloaded from the Extron Web site).  There is also a catalog file within Global Configurator that references the device drivers on the local PC.

If you select a device on a Control port in the IP Link® Tree window,  and then select the Serial Configuration tab, the list of available device drivers is displayed and can be sorted by device type, manufacturer, and version.

If you download a new device driver to your local PC, it will not appear in the Serial Configuration tab listing until you restart the GC application.

If you want to use the new driver without restarting the GC application, you can do so by selecting the Rebuild Driver List option.

You must close the existing project (leave GC running) before the Rebuild Driver List option is available in the Edit menu.
