Inserting a ProcessorThe DSP signal chain is fixed, and each processor block will insert only one category of processor. However, the signal is also flexible, in that a variety of processor types can be inserted per processor category. Empty processor blocks are light gray in color, displaying an abbreviation of the name of the processor block category. When a processor is inserted into the signal chain, the block changes color (per processor category) to indicate an active block. The dynamics processors are named and color coded individually. The filter processors are named and color coded individually when only a single filter type is used. To insert a processor when the processor block is empty (i.e., a processor has not previously been inserted): 1. Open a processor menu using one of the following methods.
2. Select the processor type to be inserted into that block from the processor menu. The processor loads, and the menu(s) disappears. To insert a processor when a processor has been loaded previously : 1. Right-click a processor block to open the context menu, then select Insert to open the processor menu. 2. Select a processor type from the menu. A warning message will ask for a confirmation that you want to overwrite the existing information. 3. Click Yes. The processor loads, overwriting the previous processor. The new processor selection replaces the previously loaded processor (in the case of filters, the new filter selection will replace the first filter, and then clear all other filters previously loaded). Alternately, you can delete the previous processor, then proceed as if the processor is being inserted for the first time (processor block is empty). |
