A protected configuration is a password (PIN)-protected
configuration containing all elements (including all level settings, DSP
processing, and mix matrix settings. A protected
configuration can be used to return the device to a known state in order
to remotely troubleshoot the installation. It can be recalled by any user
but can be written or overwritten only using a PIN (up to 4 digits). You
can access the settings for saving, recalling, or changing the PIN, separate
from the Save
Preset option, by clicking the Tools
menu and selecting the Protected
Configuration submenu. You can also perform these functions via

RestoreA protected configuration must be saved to the device before it can be restored. To restore a protected configuration:

Change PINThe PIN can be up to 4 digits in length. The default PIN is 0000 and must be used to create a new PIN. It is highly recommended that you change the default PIN, either before or immediately after saving a protected configuration. To change the PIN:
