Each output channel VOL (volume) block provides a single stereo fader with a range of 0 percent (-100 dB) to 100 percent volume (0 dB, no attenuation), with a volume setting readout (in dB) below the fader. The default setting is 100 percent volume, unmuted. See the Optimizing Audio Levels section for more information. |
Adjusting Output VolumeVolume control resolution is 64 steps with the first step progressing from -100 dB to -63 dB. Thereafter, you can adjust the volume in 1 dB increments. A single Mute button provides control of the left-channel and right-channel muting. Channel mute is located post-fader, post-meter, and pre-DAC (digital to analog converter) so that when you mute channels, the signal is still represented visually in the meters. Left-channel and right-channel peak meters are located post-fader and pre-DAC (digital to analog converter). The peak meters display levels of -60 dBFS to 0 dBFS, with a last-peak-level (peak hold) readout below each meter.
Left-channel and right-channel trim controls have a range of -6 dB to +6 dB and can be adjusted in 0.1 dB increments. You can adjust the trim controls by clicking the Up and Down Arrows or entering the desired value in the respective Trim field. Trim control adjustment accelerates in two stages when you click and hold the Up or Down Arrow. The default setting is left channel and right channel unmuted at unity gain (0.0 dB).
