NetPA U 2008 FX

1. Provide an energy efficient audio amplifier with low thermal dissipation that shall support eight channels of Dante network audio and eight amplified outputs with 200 watts rms per channel into low or high impedance systems.
   1. Audio power amplifier with 200 watts rms power output per channel and power sharing between adjacent odd/even channel pairs
      1. Input Requirements
         1. Shall support eight, balanced or unbalanced line level signals on four 6-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
      2. Output Requirements
         1. Shall support eight speaker level signals on eight 2-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connectors
         2. Shall provide 200 watts rms per channel with all channels driven
         3. Shall provide 400 watts rms per channel with one channel driven per pair
         4. Shall support software selection of individual channel output modes between 8 ohms, 4 ohms, 70 volt, or 100 volt operation
         5. Shall provide a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, unweighted
         6. Shall provide a THD+N measurement of 0.2% measured at 1 kHz, at 3 dB below clipping through the amplifier
      3. DSP Engine Requirements
         1. Shall provide integrated audio DSP engine
         2. Shall provide a mix matrix such that all inputs can be discretely routed to any or all of the outputs
         3. Shall provide 16 DSP input channels with filters, dynamics, and gain processing
         4. Shall provide 20 DSP output channels with delay, filters, dynamics, and attenuation processing
      4. Configuration Software Requirements
         1. Shall provide PC-based DSP Configurator Pro software allowing flexible control of the digital signal processor’s fixed architecture
         2. Shall provide a Live mode for real-time control of parameters without compiling and file uploading to processor
         3. Shall provide an Emulate mode for offline configuration
         4. Shall provide single, scrollable window for viewing of all inputs and outputs, audio processing blocks, routing, and mix points
         5. Shall provide setup and configuration of digital audio processing tools including, but not limited to: Filters (high pass, low pass, bass shelving, treble shelving, and parametric); Dynamics processing (Compressor, Limiter); Delay processing; and Ducking
         6. Shall provide cut, copy, paste editing between processing blocks
         7. Shall provide matrix routing with integrated mix point gain adjustment between inputs and outputs
         8. Shall provide a library of pre-designed processor settings for inputs and outputs with user-customizable parameters
         9. Shall provide Group Master controls for consolidation of individual gain or mute control members of the same type into one point of control
         10. Shall provide Soft Limits settings to define upper and lower control limits on Group Masters for use with external controls
         11. Shall provide Presets for recall of any processing block setting, level setting or audio routing; presets shall be saved for the entire system, or any selected partial group of inputs, outputs, mix points, and DSP blocks
         12. Shall provide real-time metering of levels within each Input Gain, Compressor, Limiter, and Output Attenuation processing block in Live mode
         13. Shall provide a Meter Bridge window for real-time metering of all input and output channels with clipping indication in Live mode
         14. Shall provide keyboard-based navigation of configuration software utilizing directional controls, keyboard shortcuts, and spreadsheet software-style commands
         15. Shall provide file saving in both Live and Emulate mode
         16. Shall provide configuration file upload in Live mode
         17. Shall provide configuration and file saving of multiple, linked or networked processors from a single configuration software session
      5. Amplifier Requirements
         1. Shall utilize an efficient Class D amplifier design
         2. Shall provide an automatic clip limiter to detect onset of clipping by comparing input and output waveforms and automatically reduce gain without audible artifacts to eliminate clipping distortion
         3. Shall provide multiple protection circuits that activate during output shorts, thermal overload, or DC faults
         4. Shall provide power factor correction technology to remove harmonic content on the AC power line
      6. Dante Audio Networking Requirements
         1. Shall support receive channels over a local area network using standard Internet protocols
            1. Eight Dante channels will be tied to the DSP input section
         2. Shall support transmit channels over a local area network using standard Internet protocols
            1. Eight Dante channels will be tied to the DSP output section
         3. Shall support Dante Controller software
         4. Shall support Dante Domain Manager network management software for network security and logical segmenting.
         5. Shall support the AES67 standard for interoperability with other devices that also support AES67
         6. Shall provide two RJ-45 connectors to support Dante audio network connection
         7. Shall synchronize to the master clock on the Dante network
         8. Shall provide uncompressed digital audio at 48 kHz sampling rate with 24-bit resolution
      7. Power Requirements
         1. Shall draw 351.3 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels equally driven with 4 ohm loads
         2. Shall draw 312.5 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels driven with 8 ohm loads
         3. Shall draw 291.8 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels driven in 70 volt mode
         4. Shall draw 281.5 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with all output channels driven in 100 volt mode
         5. Shall draw 59 watts during quiescent operation
         6. Shall provide a low power standby mode
            1. Shall enter standby mode after 25 minutes of inactivity by default
            2. Shall draw less than 10.9 watts while in standby mode
            3. Shall return to full power status in less than 50 milliseconds upon signal detection while in standby mode
         7. Shall provide internal universal power supply with IEC power socket and support for international 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz standards
         8. Shall provide the ability to maintain the operation of internal DSP, Dante routing, and analog line inputs and outputs, when PoE is connected to the LAN1 port and main power is lost
      8. Control Requirements
         1. Shall support remote standby control on a 3.5 mm captive screw connector
      9. Front Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide an LED for power indication that lights green when the unit is receiving power and active, and lights amber when the unit is in standby mode
         2. Shall provide a red LED for indication of the enclosure temperature exceeding the optimal value
         3. Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
         4. Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
      10. Rear Panel Requirements
          1. Shall provide eight audio line inputs on eight 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
          2. Shall provide four audio line outputs on four 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
          3. Shall provide eight audio speaker outputs on eight 2-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connectors
             1. Shall support 22 AWG to 12 AWG speaker cables
          4. Shall provide remote standby control port on one 2-pole 3.5 mm captive screw connector
          5. Shall provide bidirectional RS-232 port that accepts a 3.5 mm captive screw connector

          1. Shall be enclosed in a rack-mountable 1U, full rack width metal enclosure
          2. Shall include rear rack mount hardware
