Extron Presents the RAC 104 Volume and Tone Controller

Anaheim, California (January 7, 2004) – Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the RAC 104, a four channel remote volume and tone controller. Placed between line level sources and audio power amplifiers, the RAC 104 provides volume, bass, and treble control for up to four audio channels. It can be remotely controlled via RS-232, and configured for mono and stereo audio distribution in such environments as classrooms and meeting rooms. The RAC 104 offers simple, intuitive operation, and features two channel selection buttons (two channels per button) with corresponding LED indicators. Volume, bass, and treble are adjustable using the front panel knob or RS-232. Volume levels are made in 0.5dB increments to ensure smooth transitions. Each channel has three presets to store input gain/attenuation, volume, bass, and treble settings. "The RAC 104 centralizes audio control for integrated systems," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. Designed for audio system integration, the RAC 104 can remotely control volume to most balanced and unbalanced audio equipment. Inputs and outputs are compatible with professional (+4dBu) and consumer (-10dBV) audio levels, enabling level control and distribution in one small package. Part of the Extron VersaTools® line, the RAC 104 is housed in a 1U, quarter rack width metal enclosure, and is rack-, under-desk-, and/or through desk-mountable.
